Okay, it has been three weeks since my last post and there has been some progress.

Personally, it has been one month since my operation and I’m recovering. I’ll have to wear the post-operation girdle for another two months and I’m still not supposed to lift anything. So, I’m moving slowly on the project.

I’m still exploring options for the membership site. I’m trying to get RAP, RAPress, and BuddyPress to work together. There seems to be an incompatibility. BuddyPress does not deal well with the RAPress member registration process. I’ve submitted a ticket and I’m waiting for the RAPress programmer to respond.

I also started to explore the use of WordPress, BuddyPress, and s2Member to manage and sell and deliver a membership site. There is a little glitch in how member level is managed between WordPress and BuddyPress and s2Member, but I have gotten my hands on a workaround patch which solves that problem. The real difficulty is that s2Member (which manages the sales, PayPal, and subscription processes) does not handle affiliate management. They do offer a process with API to work with your affiliate management software. I’ll post a query with the s2wMembers folks to find out with which affiliate software they can work.

I’ll eventually be able to work with one or the other of these software approaches to get my site working. So, I’m not yet in position to promote my site or port material or resources to my site, because I’m not sure about the site software and I need to have the functioning structure in place before I start those activities.

=======================

I have continued working on the eBook for “Get My Child Back On Track.” And, I have completed an introductory report which I’ll use to build my email list. You can get that report by signing up for it at: http://getmychildbackontrack.com/hyperactive/ I welcome any feedback about the sign-up process and about the report. At the time of this posting, the report does not have active links to the membership site because the membership sit is not yet working. As soon as the membership site is working properly, I’ll correct the report and send a proper copy to everyone who has downloaded the original version.

I have gone through a 4 year old membership site I put together as part of a drive to get folks to use my interactive developmental process software (a developmental checklist). I’m in negotiation with programmers through elance to port that software into this new site.

Also, much of the material and other resources I put into that older membership site is applicable to this membership site. So as soon as I have nailed down which software I’ll use for the membership site and gotten the site to work, I’ll port over all these resources for the Get My Child Back On Track site.

I continue to work on my ebook, “Get My Child Back On Track,” and I’ll have that finished within the next week. Because I have a free report, I probably charge for the ebook when it’s ready for release.
